Happy Tuesday! I'm in full speed mode today and getting ready to get on my bike. Make your day terrific! I love flowers no matter whet they are!

It may be raining but we got our grilled steak!
🌺Memorial Day looks and feels different for everyone. We grew up going to Arriba, Colorado, every Memorial Day, where much of my dad's family is buried. We would watch the color guard and listen to TAPS being played as they honored the fallen. Because Dad was a WWII Veteran, we were members of the VFW. Mom would take me and Lori Cronkhite Stutts to hand out poppies and gather donations for the VFW programs. We knew even back then what Memorial Day was established to commemorate. Please remember all those who have lost their lives preserving the freedom that we all enjoy. Many of us have buried some of them and this holds an even deeper meaning today and every day. Count your blessings and hug your family today. There are families out there who can only go the cemetery to be with their loved ones who proudly wore the uniform, proudly gave their time, proudly gave their lives for strangers. 🇺🇸
Today is more than just a long weekend. It’s a day to pause… to remember… and to honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. Behind every flag, every moment of silence, and every gathering today… there are stories. Stories of courage. Stories of sacrifice. Stories of families who carry both pride and heartbreak in their hearts. While many of us spend today with loved ones, enjoying the sunshine and making memories, we also remember those who never got to come home. The ones who gave their lives so we could live ours freely. Freedom isn’t free… and today is a reminder of the cost it has carried. So today, we remember. We honor. We reflect. We say thank you to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice… and we hold space in our hearts for the families who continue to feel that loss every single day. ❤️🤍💙 May we never forget.
